In the Morning of the Magicians Lyrics
Artist(Band):The Flaming Lips
In the morning I'd awake and I couldn't remember
What is love and what is hate? - the calculations error
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-what is love and what is hate?
And why does it matter? - Is to love just a waste?
How can it matter? Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh; oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.
As the dawn began to break - I had to surrender
The universe will have its way - too powerful to master
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-what is love and what is hate?
And why does it matter? - Is to love just a waste?
how can it matter? Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.

Review about In the Morning of the Magicians
this is a hugely important concept in this song | Reviewer: a-mazed | 5/10/2007
I'll bet you had no idea that two German researchers wrote a book called In the Morning of the Magicians after WWII describing the occult beliefs and practices of Nazi intellectual leaders. Well the Flaming Lips know all about the culture surrounding that text, and its potential implications for humanity in Yoshimi's battle against the pink robots. The whole story in the unreliable history book of the fifties revolves around the forces of nature being unified in the consciousness of a potentially amoral sage. in the event that such force were controllable you would be left to assume that in time a government would control the earth with this power. the flaming lips have written a song about this potential future, and this a lament. so there!
