In his brief four-year reign as a superstar, Jimi Hendrix
expanded the vocabulary of the electric rock guitar more
than anyone before or since. Hendrix was a master at
coaxing all manner of unforeseen sonics from his
instrument, often with innovative amplification experiments
that produced astral-quality feedback and roaring
distortion. His frequent hurricane blasts of noise, and
dazzling showmanship — he could and would play behind his
back and with his teeth, and set his guitar on fire — has
sometimes obscured his considerable gifts as a songwriter,
singer, and master of a gamut of blues, R&B, and rock
styles.
When Hendrix became an international superstar in 1967, it
seemed as if he'd dropped out of a Martian spaceship, but
in fact he'd served his apprentice More...

------ About the song LITTLE WING performed by Jimi Hendrix
This is hands down THE song I will dance to at my wedding with my Father. For one because it just purely rocks... and for two, there is no better symbolism of letting your little girl go than what is in this song. Girls are always Daddies little girls. (At least this one is for sure!)

------ About the song LITTLE WING performed by Jimi Hendrix
One of the best songs ever and no comments?!.. Damn.. I love this song; 'tis the song every guitarist knows how to play!!..
For me it's about those smiley little girls who really do only ever think about butterflies and fairytales, and if they ever find you sad they will just say "it's alright, it's alright", because it all simply seems that way.
Fly on little wing, if only we could stay kids forever..
In fact most people comparejii hendrix with other ,, guitar" players when he was not a guitar player he was a composer in the likes of bach handel mozart and so on he could play many instruments including drums which sometimes he recorded himself and he inspired the musicians around him with his unique flavor a symphonic orchestra comin out of 1 guitar so dont comparejimi hendrix before youhave studied his techniques , for a starter check out jam back at the house it has some classical thing s intermixed in the arrangement and house of the new rising sun has the same type of arrangement classical rock he started it all and nobody .. nobody will ever redo what he has left behind for you and me to bend strings on

------ About the song BOLD AS LOVE performed by Jimi Hendrix
When I first heard this it blew my mind
(no joke) and I got the first few lyrics stuck
in my head so I listened to it a few more times
and was still blown away. When i go on roadtrips
this and Manic Depression are usually playing over and over
Not an imitator but an innovator , he changed the whole guitar playing scheme of this world forever .
But sometimes we dont really look into his playing style I have noticed that he was deep into classical music and he mixed it in his compositions .
An example of this is hey baby intro , fi you can have an orchestra play that intro it would be enormous and huge.check it out
The True Story of Guitar Legend, Jimi Hendrix | Reviewer: Giles
------ About artist/band Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix was an intergalatic legend. Born in the far away galaxy of Zeltron 5 in the year of our Lord 389AD. As a young boy he enjoyed life in the warm swamps and lagoons of his home planet. His stay was shortstayed however, as in a laboratory experiment gone horribly wrong his father accidently teleported him through a wormhole 42 light years into the future. He ended up on a strange planet called Earth in the year of 1943. Jimi was 11 nanomonths old when he arrived. In his childhood he became a master of the Broomstick, playing it with precision and finesse, mimicking his heroes. Time went on and Jimi became a Guitar Legend, inspiring mice and men for 4 years until his untimely demise. His home planet considered destroying Earth for the death of one of their kind, but since the Zeltronions look and behave like humans in so many ways, (some doctors and scholars in fact believe the Zeltronions are humans from the future who have relocated with vast technology and a knack for time travel), that several of their kind entered the Earth and conducted an investigation. They deemed it an accidental death and left without a major incident.

Jimi hendrix was indeed a legend, but hes nothing compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Even Though Hendrix was Stevie Ray Vaughans Inspiration, Stevie Ray Vaughan accomplished a lot more. Only if they both didnt die, music would still be good.

------ About the song ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER performed by Jimi Hendrix
"I was first drawn to Hendrix's sound when I was 16, when I heard his version of Bob Dylan’s All Along The Watchtower. The attraction of the music was astronomical, and it still is with today’s youths. When I listen to his music I feel like I’m being picked up and put on the Planet Zog. When I close my eyes I see bright coloured shapes and I can almost feel the impact of his music upon the 1960s British public. I can feel the drugs the musicians were taking at the time and I can feel the thoughts going through their heads."
Jimi Hendrix is absolutelly the next step to Nirvana...:)He was the real merman...JIMI WAS RIGHT.This song gives me shivers, makes me go in that special experience called HENDRIX.
I can't believe no one has reviewed this yet- I live by this song. From the soulful lyrics to the awe-inspiring licks and riffs, this song is one of my Hendrix faves. It speaks to my soul and back. Twice.

perhaps one of Jimi's true mastepieces. Know way of knowing what the final version would have been like. But he laid down enough for us to see the biggest part before he died.

The Meaning of My Friend | Reviewer: Steev Fleet
------ About the song MY FRIEND performed by Jimi Hendrix
What Hendrix is singing about to me is quite apparently loneliness. Who 'talks, looks, sees, and feels' like him? He does. It's himself. The reason it's not so easy is because his only friend is himself.
There are also many other references to himself. For instance, the one about his shadow towards the end of the last verse.
Simply awful. The lyrics shown here aren't correct by the way, but it doesn't really matter. It should also be pointed out that Jimi did NOT write this, the late Noel Redding did. I can't get the sound of Jimi doing backup...that horrible falsetto "La la la la la ...".

------ About the song PURPLE HAZE performed by Jimi Hendrix
I was in awe to see Jimmi's attire @ the Rock N roll hall of fame in Cleveland.... just to see Jimmi's scribbled lyrics, and to discover the orginal lyrics of this song... were nothing really like how it turned out ...
Originally Jimmi wrote down for the title "Purple Haze... Jesus Saves?" and the song mentioned that he was walking around in a blood red, and blue sky.. having visions... & somthing about unborn fetuses, but maye thats were belly button window came into be.. It was so deep I wrote it on my hand at the muesum, but lost the paper I transfured onto.... Saw some pretty cool things.. I never knew Hendricks drew so well... he definitly LOVED sports... especially footbal.... they have his drawings displayed - I was impressed....
Play on Jimmii.... drum on drummer....
I know your Bold - as LOVE.. Peace
