Review The Song (46)Print the Lyrics
Ladies and gentlemen please
Would you bring your attention to me?
For a feast for your eyes to see
An explosion of catastrophe

Like nothing you’ve ever seen before
Watch closely as I open this door
Your jaws will be on the floor
After this you’ll be begging for more

Welcome to the show
Please come inside
Ladies and gentlemen

woa
Do you want it?
woa
Do you need it?
woa
Let me hear it
Ladies and gentlemen

Boom
Do you want it?
Boom
Do you need it?
Boom
Let me hear it
Ladies and gentlemen

Ladies and gentlemen good evening
You’ve seen that seeing is believing
Your ears and your eyes will be bleeding
Please check to see if you’re still breathing

Hold tight cause the show is not over
If you will please move in closer
You're about to be bowled over
By the wonders you’re about to behold here

Welcome to the show (welcome to the show)
Please come inside
Ladies and gentlemen

Boom
Do you want it?
Boom
Do you need it?
Boom
Let me hear it
ladies and gentlemen

boom
Do you want it?
boom
Do you need it?
boom
Let me hear it

Welcome to the show (Welcome to the show)
We're glad you came along (We're glad you came along)
Please come inside
Ladies and gentlemen

Boom
Do you want it?
Boom
Do you need it?
Boom
Let me hear it
Ladies and gentlemen

This song would work really well during the cliche "you and what army moment" where the heros all appear, or summon this giant beast thing(in slomo, of course)... which the stomps the crap out of the bad guys along with the : "You’ve seen that seeing is believing
Your ears and your eyes will be bleeding
Please check to see if you’re still breathing"
    that would be freakin ausome...

    Please bring your attention to me . . . . | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/29/2008

This is a really interesting song. The lyrics especially happens to emphasize anticipation, fascination, and possibly horror. When I first heard it, it made me conjure a picture in my head; one with gladiators fighting for their lives down below, and the public screaming with excitement at the stands of the Colosseum. If memory serves me well, such a scene is called a "Roman holiday;" an event where people view the sight of others struggling - or even dying - as entertainment. Alas, we all happen to have that terror within us. Some choose to trap it inside; others release it.

However, if anyone happened to watch the music video, the song opens up a new concept. A lot of us can find certain events (i.e., wrestling, boxing) to be very entertaining. Some are caught up in the motion and violence the performers pertake in. Others, like me, are often in awe of the strength and agility they possess in order to carry out these feats. Simply put, it's an impressive sight to behold. As we all know, these matches can take a toll on the wrestlers/boxers' health, but they valiantly overcome it for the sake of our enjoyment. Some of the performers decide to play it clean; basically, they don't rely on artificial abilities by taking drugs or steroids. But others do. And there's really nothing we can do about it, other than feeling disappointed, derision, or even betrayal. But it's the truth; behind these people's faces, behind the scenes, behind the TV screen where many eagerly watch.

This song is cool, the first time I heard about it was in WWE Wrestlemania, then I heard it in That Playstation 3 commercial.
It gets stuck in your head after a while.
    Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen

Awesome song. MUCH better than "Rest in pieces" for example.
Look, you guys, I see what you mean. If you hear this everywhere I can imagine you don't like it. I however am just a Dutch fuck who's never heard of these guys before Last.fm came up with it as a match to Velvet Revolver.
So, I like it. No, I don't "love it", I think they sure do have aweful songs. I hated rest in pieces, but loved "if only for a day".
And this. And there's never enough hate in a song as long as it can be played/sung with a sweet face..(:

The Bob Dylan Concept | Reviewer: The Bob Dylan Concept | 12/27/2007

My goodness. The hate in here.

Look, Bob Dylan himself said that an artist only writes five songs and spends the rest of his time rewriting those five songs.

It just so happens the popular songs by Saliva seem to repeat the same song, but then again, guess what? They're popular because people like them. If you don't like that concept, then too bad. Unless you go on a mass killing spree, people will continue to like those songs.

Now, I DO agree that I get sick of hearing the song at every single sporting event, and it's compounded by the fact I always see a bajillion PlayStation 3 commercials on every day, but that doesn't mean the song is bad. It's just overplayed.

At any rate, lay off of the song. Some of this hate is way too much.

    Surprising | Reviewer: The Complainer | 12/22/2007

As a band, this is just an extension of Josey Scott's enormous ego. He is astute in grabbing old ideas and recombining them into a new song--which I guess is what most people do, so I shouldn't complain, but I will anyhow. At least he doesn't repeat the same damned idea over and over like some other bands. Most of what he's done in the past, I can see where he has stolen the idea from. I've never seen a truly original idea from this guy, er, band. This one certainly steals some stylistic elements from things I can identify. At the same time, this is probably the best thing Saliva has ever come up with or ever will come up with--it sure works well for the thousands of airplays all the commercials are using it for. But Ladies and Gentlemen, when will it end?

    awesome | Reviewer: jesus | 12/12/2007

This song is awesome. I love it. When it was played as the theme song to wrestlemania i went nuts. I LOVE SALIVA!!!!!!!!!

Too bad they sold out | Reviewer: Youngjaybiz | 12/9/2007

If I hadn't heard this obnoxious song six thousand times on every other tv commercial, sports broadcast, and everything in between, I might think it was good. But after hearing it so many times it just makes the bad lyrics suck more. I now hate this song and Saliva's a bunch of posers.

    Badass! | Reviewer: Johnny | 12/5/2007

This Song is AWESOME!!!!! It is 100% badass!!!
Great song, Great band and just all-round awesome!
    Defenitely one of my favorites!

Sorry, but not rap | Reviewer: Bob | 12/4/2007

Sorry, but this definitely is not rap. Just because the words are spoken over music doesn't make it rap. This is just really good hard rock/punk music.
