Ladytron Lyrics

Four identical figures stand on stage, blasting out edgy
pop anthems with Teutonic flair and twisted outlook. This
is Ladytron – a quartet composed of Helen Marnie, Daniel
Hunt, Reuben Wu, and Mira Aroyo. They've taken the UK by
storm, toured extensively throughout Europe, and are now
prepared to bring their sound stateside with Light & Magic,
their newest release on Emperor Norton Records. Forming by
chance through meetings in bars and parks, they set out in
an unusual way, ignoring London to play their debut show in
a Paris bowling More...

------ About the song Seventeen performed by Ladytron

A good song reflects the user (listner)experiences and world views into the understanding of the lyrics and reflects back to the user meanings personal to themselfs, which engages them to the music, and then they enjoy understanding a little more of themselves through the process. All of your commets are correct and most wonderful too, and I am moved both by the song and the commets to be understanding of those babes in the woods and what the tender age 17 represents and be a mentor not a molester. I mean that in a spirtual tone not physical cause we all know what mind f**ks we can be coming from the position of experience.

Cheers

------ About the song Seventeen performed by Ladytron

I think the mistake people make by dwelling on the negative side of these lyrics is by thinking youthful is better, older is not good. There are benefits to both. As an adult, you have your independence and freedom of choice. As a youth, you're in captivity. The reason why older people aren't interested in other older people is because it's other free-thinking beings making their own daily choices. It is not a matter of being tampered with, it is just that when you're 21 you're a grownup making decisions for yourself and are in a position to disagree.

seventeen meaning? | Reviewer: Laura
------ About the song Seventeen performed by Ladytron

It's about how older people are drawn to youth - they want to steal the youth and beauty from a young nubile 17 year old, they are too gullible, haven't been in the world, this age is innocent, vulnerable and of course everyone wants to corrupt it, molest it and have it for themselves. Disgusting, really. I've been hit on as a woman, but never as much as when I was seventeen. Men makes such fools of themselves and how could they possibly think a young, beautiful girl would want their old ass?

------ About the song Destroy Everything You Touch performed by Ladytron

Sometimes you hear a song that fits perfectly a situation...in this case my ex.
Ladytron has captured the tragic truth of a narcissist psychopath... wrapped in Facebook candy coated popularity....leaving a path of destruction...through feigning ignorant anonymity of those few whom he should be most protective of...

------ About the song He Took Her To A Movie performed by Ladytron

The guys wakes up, but doesn't realizes the chance, doesn't listens and wishes many selfish and childish things (his "movies")

here, he=the body while she=the soul

The guy makes it "3 times" that means that he will not change, that's in his poor nature.

(for me :-)

Body and Soul | Reviewer: Bitron
------ About the song Jet Age performed by Ladytron

Her=soul
He=body/mind

Soul dancing on her own, having built a personal fake joy-system, ignoring the rest of the world (dancing on her own). So sad for a soul... She hates the material world.

The person/mind behind her, "leaves Irlanda" and materialism and try to read the Bible but will never understand it...

They have to "meet" each other!
All they need is each other!

The Lease | Reviewer: Bitron
------ About the song Beautyx2 performed by Ladytron

A very sad and beautiful song, the "rendez-vous" happens, but the awakened mind wants more and doesn't come home to Her. Probably a "rocket scientist" wanting more, wanting to escape, but missing Her, again.

Beauty #2 could be a desperate soul that wants to get out of the Karma cycle (the Lease) the wrong way, ignoring the rules and ruining herself.

(for me :-)

------ About the song I'm With The Pilots performed by Ladytron

After the mind crash and soul's return, don't feel depressed or out. You're in, you can feel it but not understand it (but "the damn thing" understands you).

Here common cliché stupid behaviors are "coke or gin" for some (just having fun but not learning anything), or trying to make a religion+scientific theory about "the damn thing" (holding hands, rocket scientists...)

Sell something: same as the "move out of love" in BeautyX2 : stupid karma "cash" operations

(for me :-)
