"I don't have it all figured out," says 20-year-old
Lifehouse singer-guitarist-songwriter Jason Wade. "You
learn so many things every day, and it's overwhelming
sometimes trying to see how it all fits together. I'm
starting to realize that each day is a different road and a
different journey, and you don't have to have it all
figured out; you don't have to have all the answers to
everything right now."
One of the things Jason hasn't figured out is how Lifehouse
- which also includes bassist Sergio Andrade and drummer
Rick Woolstenhulme (self-described "guitar guy" Stuart
Mathis, who played on Lifehouse's early demos, joins the
band onstage) - went from playing a few college shows to
sharing the road with Pearl Jam, Fuel, Everclear and
matchbox twenty.

------ About the song Everything performed by Lifehouse
See, I don't know.
The first time I heard this song, my best friend emailed it to me because I'd just admitted that I spent every day terrified that she would realise who i was and leave me behind. For that reason, its incredibly personal to me and will ALWAYS relate to her - it our song for me.
Yet a few days later, my (other)friend commented that she was "really surprised I would like it cause its a Christian song" (which, by, the way pisses me off - so I'm atheist, that does NOT mean I hate religion and anything affiliated with it).
Before then, I had my personal meaning, and also the meaning that at first thought I had attributed to its original creation - love, of another person. I'll admit, happily, he might have written this song about his personal relationship with god. But that doesn't make it a Christian song. It doesn't mean he's trying to spread the word of Christ. It means its his PERSONAL feelings. It doesn't mean that if you hear it you MUST realise Jesus' love. If a band writes a song about a girl, you don't assume they're trying to make people fall in love with that girl, do you? If it speaks to you of your love for Christ and God, by all means go ahead. If it speaks to someone else of their boyfriend or their friend, thats fine, too, leave a opening in your review for that. Otherwise it sounds a teensy bit like you're not willing to listen to or respect anyone else feelings/beliefs.
You keep your personal response. I'll keep mine. It wasn't written as a Christian rally, so don't try to make it one.

Songs and their lyrics are open to individuals interpretations, that's the beauty of music. What it means and says to one person may be completely different to it's meaning to another. So lets just all get along shall we and accept that everyone can love this song, in whichever way they want to :)

------ About the song Everything performed by Lifehouse
Some may not want to believe this but almost all Lifehouse songs are Christian. Certainly, you can interpret the lyrics as you wish but the writer of the lyrics is the real interpreter. Jason Wade was a worship and youth minister at a Vineyard Church in CA. "Everything" was written at this church and created with a skit that depicts a young girl that strayed from the Lord and came back as the Lord kept calling her. That is what the song is about - bottom line. The only reason that Lifehouse often subtly denies being a Christian band is two fold. 1 - Their music would only be played on Christian rock stations and they would not be nearly as successful in mainstream rock. 2 - They are trying to reach those who would not normally listen to Christian rock and bring those people to Christ through their music. So, you atheists and non-believers, please keep listening.

First of all I am an atheist I too do not believe in religion and i in fact despise it tbh. BUT one of my reasons for hating it is because alot of the time religious people try to force their beliefs on people. But the same goes for Atheist and Agnostics, dont try to force your beliefs on people, anything yeah the big bang is science no doubt about that, but tbh if you think about it where did the CHEMICALS come from first? It's a colossal effort to imagine they were "just there" so if you wanted religion could argue that "God" put them there and made the big bang.
And where do you get off calling them "stupid" When you type like a fucking moron xD

the song reminds me of my recent exgf.. we were together for 9 years. Spent days and nights together arm in arm.. She left on Christmas and has since started another relationship.. She is somewhere else now and I wish she was back in my arms. Uunfortunately life doesnt always give you what you want. I miss her soo much! But more than anything I miss what we had, and what she used to be like when we were together... and now its long she will be gone forever.. this songs makes me think about it and I cry..

------ About the song Everything performed by Lifehouse
Lifehouse is personally one of my favorite bands. They have AMAZING songs and all of their songs can refer to anything anyone wants to interpret it as. I believe that this song can be towards God or someone a person loves. I mean the lyrics can go either way. However, all of their other songs are about LOVE as you can see. They aren't really a CHRISTIAN band. But that does not mean that their songs cannot be interpreted that way. Thank you. Therefore, arguing should stop, all people are different, and we each have our own different opinions.

------ About the song Everything performed by Lifehouse
I wept when I heard the song. I knew they were talking about Jesus because I knew that Lifehouse was/is a Christian band and I wept like a little girl because they described how I would feel in the direct presence of Christ and how I feel everyday.
I get out of bed because of my relationship with Christ, as a recovering alcoholic. He is my everything, I would be dead without Him. Thank you guys!!! Your lyrics were spot on!
abusive ex's | Reviewer: Ariadne
------ About the song Simon performed by Lifehouse
I have always related this song to my personal experience with a psychologically abusive ex boyfriend I had that shattered my confidence in myself and made me feel like I was inside a cage. He was fearful that I would leave him so he put me down, making me think no one else would put up with me. The part about I have felt the same I relate to my husband because he went through some psychologically abusive stuff, and that is why we get along so well and understand each other and relate to each other, so my ex boyfriend's antics sort of helped me bond with my husband (trying to find the good inevery situation).
belive me this sond strucked me that much.. I don't care wether this is a christian song or a love song, all i know is that lifehouse play a big rule to move mountain to connect drowning people from hell to reconcillation. You blewn me away LIFEHOUSE>> thank you..☺
can i just say.. to all you christian peeople that claim they have experience with god, and he helped you become 'complete' ...you made urself complete, god dusnt exist. lol. honeslty, people believe in this ancient azz book called the bible that's been handed down generations, science proves god dusnt exist. its like saying magic exists. christians just want something to bleve in. bleve that someone still loves them and will help them. help urself. god didnt create the universe. (Whr did he come from first?!) science- chemical reations started off the universe. thats the cold hard facts, the truth, that u can prove. no1 can prove therz a magic dude who is like real nice and u 'pray' to him and he helps u. and uze can hav ur own opinion but honestly if u actually 'bleve in god' u kinda must be stupid...or drunk... i mean, get the fuck out.
Thanks.

yes, they are a religious band, but that dosent mean this song or any of their songs are about god. i personally am not religious at all. this song is purely about someone being in love with another. this song more indicates that he's givin up on telling himself he dosent love her and just wants to be with her, and wont rest till he is. he didnt write it to jesus ffs. its abit like the band Creed but the other way round - they sing about 'the lord' and the light and shit, but it just sounds amazing in the song. but then they arnt actually christian, and i love them and their lyrics but i am so not christian. so stop ruining the song uze christian pepz saying its about god. Jason didnt write it to god, he write it about someone he loves. a real person. Ty. Jo.

Broken Heart Keeps Beating On | Reviewer: Rachel Russell
------ About the song Broken performed by Lifehouse
I deeply identify with this song; it may be different from the above reviewers, but my husband separated from me in April 2009. I am disabled unable to work or drive and battling social security SSI again and have no medical insurance. I miss Ken very much, and have cried many times. We are still separated, but he comes to see me every week. I have faith we can work it out, but until he decides to live with me again, my broken heart will keep on beating.
i absolutely love this song!It reminds me of Thadd cuz he is super quit && never tells me how he feels, but he dont have to say anything all he has to do is stare into my eyes && i know exactly how he feels!!!!=]

I really love this song and it sucks because it's true for me right now. It's like Lifehouse KNOWS what people go through. Just like I really like this guy and he likes me to but he made a mistake and I feel like it's my fault. He is broken and I want to fix him but he won't let me.

This is one of the best songs I have heard in a long time.. It actually has meaning for everyone. It really makes you stop and think about life. We could be here one minute and gone the next. Live each day like there is no tomorrow and tell the people that you love, that you love them. No second chances at this.

------ About the song Hanging By A Moment performed by Lifehouse
This song meant so much to me with my first love. My ex boyfriend dedicated this song to me when we first started dating and falling in love with eachother more and more everyday.
It's very general. I dont see the need to but a religious connection to it. But now that someone posted something about this band being christian based..... it totally ruined my moment and "our song"..... all I can say it geez thanks. Gross!

this song is prety much nice and deep.....and i also love it so much......i think the other title of this song is "en shala" or "God's will".......just like what had happen to me....i was broken when one of my relationships failed....being broken is synonymous to being strong.....right after the brokeness is resilience......knowing that you can still be whole.....so i'm also holding on to whatever "God's will" is for me.....i guess we just got to have faith......... :)

------ About the song Blind performed by Lifehouse
this song would play all the time at work, i worked at the body shop with some of the most amazing women i would ever meet. one in particular touched me the most, she was pregnant but she was strong. and as i'd walk around the store when this song would play, i'd imagine our store outside (we were in a mall), and outside our window it would be snowing, and the days would grow weary but we'd always have each other. but eventually i'd have to leave my job, it was hard because i really was going to miss my times there. i spent so much time there it was like my second home. it's amazing how the people you meet can change your life, or how you can change theirs. it's amazing how some experiences touch you.

Do people have to curse and use the F... word, show some respect and also expand your limited vocabulary! Some people have very trashy mouths and spew vulgar venom where ever they go. It is really very sad!
