Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook are the vocally gifted foursome who make up this one-of-a-kind country group, Little Big Town. Together since 1998, the quartet made their first public performance as Little Big Town at the legendary Grand Ole Opry. Months later, they were signed to Monument Records/ Sony Music Nashville and the group immediately started work on their debut album. With guidance from Grammy Award-winning producers Blake Chancey and Paul Worley along with Assoc. Producer David Lyndon Huff, Little Big Town wrote 6 of the album's 10 songs and co-produced the entire disc-- a rarity for a new act. I remember this song planning on the radio as I listened to him sing it in the back seat...loved his voice. September 3, 2007 two Navy Officers came to my house to tell me that Evan had died in a car accident...I could not remember this song...I knew I wanted to hear it...I just couldn't remember the lyrics. Mother's Day 2008 my husband and I were traveling to see my mother...and the song came on the radio...what a great Mother's Day gift. I cried, but listened to every word and remembered listening to Evan sing in the back of my car. Thank you!! At 1 part when they do "Stay" at the concerts Kimberly stops and looks like she's gonna cry. It's sad! He passed away in 2004, but he loved to tell the stories of growing up in the country, in a little town. This song makes me feel like im listening to those stories all over again. Then my 16 year old cousin passed away from liver failure. He was a great hunter and a big outdoors kind of guy, so this song fit him to a 'T'. This song was also his favorie song, and it was played at his funeral in February. So, every time I hear this song...I have to change the station. But someday I know that I will be able to listen to the whole thing, and maybe not cry...someday.
