Morning Waits Lyrics

Review The Song (18)Print the Lyrics
All along it was me who changed.
Morning now waits for me.
All along it was me.
What I have to gain does
not matter if what I give
is all to you.
If what I give is all to you.
I have seen the stars fall
And the sun rise again,
But You are yet to change.
You are all that is worth living for.

Review about Morning Waits

why people have problems with them being christians | Reviewer: scrambles the death dealer | 10/8/09

to jess: there are probably two reasons christians and christianity are hated most other places on the world besides america.

1. the majority of americans are christians, and a lot of countries hate us so it might just be a hate the country, hate the religion thing

2. christians, in my experiences, at least have been far too pushy about their beliefs. its one thing to try and spread the word of your god, but christians seem to try and force it on people way more than other religions do in the "repent to OUR god, or youll be damned for eternity" way

again these are just guesses and im sure every place has their own reason but these seem to me like they would be the most common.

talking about the song now, these lyrics are definitely about god. i wouldnt call AILD a christian band so much as 5 christians in a band. im not a christian and i will admit that im a little let down because the lyrics are spiritual, but its still a great song none the less.

what he actually said | Reviewer: derick | 7/15/09

Tim: Yeah. I mean, all 5 of us are Christians so I don’t know make us not a Christian band. But at the same time, we’ve never been known as a band that’s extremely preachy on stage. I think that we intelligently represent what we believe and gain people’s respect by good musicians. You know, playing our music is the first thing that we do. When people get the chance to dig into the band and find out what we’re about, then they can learn we’re behind all of our music.

Incredible! | Reviewer: Jess | 7/7/09

This song is beyond words, lyrics and music and everything. It is undeniably about God, and people can refute that all they want- it doesn't change the message, when truth is truth. I can't believe how everyone lunges at each other's throats when the subject comes up. Christianity is a great thing, and yet so many hate it and get "offended" at the idea that "hey, turning from damaging behavior (aka: sin) and calling out to a God who loves me- and then actually being saved- is a GOOD thing." A shocker, indeed. Isn't it strange how Christianity is despised more than any other religion, that Christ is mocked and hated when really.. what did He do, other than sacrifice Himself to save us of our mistakes, our sins? As I Lay Dying is an amazingly talented band, who are surely doing God's work, whether you'll accept truth or not.

stop | Reviewer: ieL | 6/1/09

could everyone stop arguing about the band? this music brings people together, even if theyre christian, muslim or anything else. im pure ateist, but id be the first one whod mosh himself to death at a live AILD show. so everyone get laid and listen to this beauty.

Hmmm | Reviewer: Laevian | 3/2/09

This is not a christian way of putting words into music. i am a great fan of as i lay dying and am totally against the christian ways and dogmas. even so, the band is great and their creations too. unfortunately they won't ever hold a message beyond their beliefs.

true musicianship | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/7/09

These guys are true musicians and you can see how much time and effort they put into their songs. The guitar riffs are beautiful, the drumming amazing, and the vocals powerful. If only the rap/gang culture was replaced by As I lay dying...it would enlighten many people

really now. | Reviewer: damien | 12/22/08

Here is my prospective on this band.
They are one of the soul greatest bands alive.
But with the turning tide of the music world to the neo metal.
Death core grind core and metal core..<that's noting but random shit strung together.> more and more people loss intrest in this band.
My faith and love for this band is undying.
And they have influensed my to start my own band.

But I can't help but to ask why is every one throwing a fit over them being christan?
Yes they are all followers of god.
But really now its call christan metal.
Well watever.

Damien out!

My point of view here | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/28/08

well i have to say im muslim, and i really enjoy their lyrics as much as their music. i love jordan (i play drums) and wether they are christians or not doesnt matter to me.
people shouldn't trash a band if they don't like it, they should just leave it alone, other people may be influenced by some comments.i hope mine influences someone.
thank you

as i lay dying is christian | Reviewer: jason | 4/11/08

uhh yah they are a christian band may i quote the lead singer tim in exact words! "I'm not sure what the difference is between five Christians playing in a band and a Christian band. If you truly believe something, then it should affect every area of your life. All five of us are Christians. I believe that change should start with me first, and as a result, our lyrics do not come across very "preachy." Many of our songs are about life, struggles, mistakes, relationships and other issues that don't fit entirely in the spiritual category. However, all of these topics are written about through my perspective as a Christian."

I dont get why people freak out because they are chrisitian...... and by the way they ARE christian..... thats not a bad thing because as you can see, it provides plenty of opportunities for good lyrics.
