half the time, my heart aches from emotional distress masked over by an optimistic hippie. i love this song.(this is my first review but i hope to write more to tell how much mcr means to me) i am not afraid to keep on living. theres so much in those words. i can imagine a scene of a lone wolf, telling the crowd i am not afraid to keep on living i am not afraid to walk this world alone' because he wants to b his own person with nothing to hold him back.

This song is truly beautiful. I know it's about Gerard's addictions to alcohol and drugs, but for me, it's a song about making a difference almost. Not just standing there and letting you life just waste away on unimportant things, but changing it. Being strong enough to get a grip on who you are, and make a change for the better. I dunno... There is just so much emotion when he sings this, and it brings tears to my eyes. I love it.

i think morrisey has an influence on the lyrics in cubicles. songs like how soon is now and other smith songs about no hope of finding a relasionship. i love the first three lines' its the taring sound of love notes drowning out these gray staind window and the veiw outside is sterile. just brillent.

This song had meant the world to me. All of their songs do. The band was a reason I could force myself out of bed in the morning and face my hell of a school everyday, to face cruel girls and condescending teachers and even some very controlling adults who try to make me into someone I'm not and make my life a living hell. To find out that this band is DONE was like getting shot in the heart. I feel like I'm dead. I feel like my life is over. And this doesn't mean that I'm gonna stop listening to them. It doesn't mean I'm giving up on their music. But what it DOES mean is that I will NEVER see them in concert. That I will NEVER get to meet them and tell them they saved my life. It means that the only friends I had are gone. I completely understand that Gerard's a dad now and he needs to take care of his daughter. I understand that not everything can last forever. But when his band said "until the end of everything" (Demolition Lovers) I really believed it. I really needed to believe it. I needed something stable to hold on to, I needed someone who understood, who MORE than understood. Yesterday was the worst school day of my life, and last night was one of my greatest nights ever. I got an hour gig to preform my songs for a room full of people. I even covered this song because I freaking love this band. But now EVERYTHING is over. I must be dead. I must be having the worlds suckiest nightmare. This world can hate me and shun me and insult everything I believe in. But it just CAN'T take this band away from me. From us. From the people who NEED this band because they don't have anyone else.

This song is so AWESOME. It's like Sharpest Lives, Give Em Hell Kid, and Headfirst for Halos. If that makes sense. It has that "this is dark shit and I'm smiling cause I DON'T CARE" vibe to it. You know, the reason we all love this band.

I love "covered in ash/ covered in glass/ covered in all my friends" and "face all the pain and take it on". It's like poetry. And for all of the Pop Tarts saying that they sold out and went pop, the CONCEPT ALBUM of Danger Days is set in 2019. Don't you think that it might have some electric sounds to its music?!?!

First of all, the person who wrote the one called 'Solid Jake'....I have no respect for you. Emo stands for the kind of music 'emos' listen to. Emo stands for emotive hard core, look it up. Sound like 'sofft rock'? I think not...
Anyway, I'm pretty sure this song is about 9/11. The band formed around that time, it makes sense.Being alone forever because he lost someone dear to him. I actually only think this song is about 9/11 because the lyrics go along with that if you were in the scenario of losing someone due to 9/11, it relates to me.
So basically I think this song's lyrics mean whatever you want them to mean. If it helps you, it helps you.

I first listened to this straight after listening to Helena. Not a good idea unless if you want to end up crying. This just goes to show what you can accomplish with so little, and it really sums up the whole album. Since they decided to make Helena more of a celebration of her life and not a "super downer" as ray said, I think of this as their outlet. Brings tears to my eyes every time I listen or simply read the lyrics.

actually Gerard decided to get sober in July of 2004 and didn't get completely sober until August. Revenge was released in June of 2004. Which means that while the band was writing Revenge, Gerard was still depressed, alcoholic, and on drugs. And that probably explains the symilarities between Bullets and Revenge. Sooo yeah. Just thought i'd poin that out to you. Next time, maybe you should check your facts first before you start going on a rampage. <3
