In the summer of 2001, former members of Bigwig Max Béchard and Jeremy Hernandez recorded a short four-song demo that would mark the foundation of NearMiss, a progressive punk-rock band they would base out of Austin, Texas. Bassist Mychael Bingham and guitarist Sean Cockrell joined weeks later adding the finishing touches to the band's darker version of classic punk-rock. NearMiss has played host to bands such as SUM41, The Vandals, Gob, Rise Against and Lawrence Arms. After playing together for three months, they have signed a contract with Fearless Records and are headed into the studio to record a full lenght record due out in the summer of 2002 to be followed by a full US/Canadian Tour. |
