It´s very hard to write a Oi Polloi biography since its not so much info on the band aviable. But here is a little. Oi Polloi, wich is a word that comes from the old greek and means "The common people", started sometime in the year of 1984/85. And they released a demo-tape called "Destroi the system".
In 1986 it was time for their vinyl debut single called "Resist the atomic menace" to see the light of day.
Oi polloi have their base in Scottland and is one of the most well known underground anarcho punk bands today. They do everything by the old punk rule D.I.Y (Do It Yourself). The band are still alive and kicking today (2002) and still release great albums and singles and still tour the world. |

Oi polloi | Reviewer: Ratten | 10/11/2004Oi polloi is just an amazingly active band. Instead of just whining about how things are hard and anarchy is the best they act. Doing fundraisers for organizations and getting the people active, instead of just bitching. Their music is to the point and not just angsty. If one's looking for music for a meaning, Oi polloi is the root of it all.
