OLD MAN GLOOM include CONVERGE bassist Nate Newton on guitar, Caleb Scofield of CAVE IN on bass and ISIS frontman Aaron Turner on vocals and guitar. The project arrived with a January 2000 record 'Meditations In B'. The two 2001 albums 'Seminar II: The Holy Rites of Primitivism Regressionism' and 'Seminar III: Zozobra' were issued at the same time.
OLD MAN GLOOM debuted live in March of 2001 drafting sampler Luke Scarola for the ocassion. A new album, entitled 'Christmas', would be scheduled for August 2004 issue through Tortuga Records. That year Newton forged an all new side project entitled DOOM RIDERS in alliance with members of POP NARCOTIC and THERE WERE WIRES. |
