Opeth Lyrics

Founded in 1990 in Sweden by vocalist and guitarist Mikael
Akerfeldt, Opeth specialized in fusing progressive-rock,
folk music, and heavy-metal.
Orchid (Candlelight, 1995) cast Akerfeldt's death-metal
growling and Peter Lindgren's epically distorted guitar in
roles (mid-tempo interludes, acoustic melodies, long and
tortured songs) that were not traditionally associated to
heavy metal, despite sounding like heavy metal.

Morningrise (Candlelight, 1996), their masterpiece, refined
that manner, particularly in the monumental suite Black More...

Review about Opeth songs
victims of lost | Reviewer: omar
------ About the song Deliverance performed by Opeth

This song for the victims of the devil to those who fall victim to trick them because they are confused and they are lost, Satan comes to paint them through Aalkhas which is the path of hell and then end up with him in eternal torment but the victims realize it too late

The GR masterpiece | Reviewer: HInges Lament
------ About the song Hours of Wealth performed by Opeth

This album is a concept, every song is a part of the story except isolation years. It is the story of a mans journey with the devil. After the events in Reverie/HF the character is lost, he isn't in servitude to the devil anymore but he doesn't know where to turn. no family no friends, and no path forward. this song is pretty much a gateway to The grand conjuration where he goes back to the devil.

Hunted | Reviewer: Curtis
------ About the song Reverie / Harlequin Forest performed by Opeth

I love this song so much. I believe it's a song about the tale of the Wolfman or a werewolf, in human form, being hunted through a forest. The transitions and the overall melody are beautiful. The lyrics sound out like the telling of a Grimm fairytale.

But even more so, the song resonates with the feeling of being persecuted for crimes or mistake not in our control. It's just amazing what Mikael Akerfeldt can do with a pen and guitar.

Credence in my words | Reviewer: Edburg = Opeth
------ About the song Credence performed by Opeth

One of the lovliest songs by the world's best metal band OPETH..
I cant describe in words what kinda song is it. A sad song with a lovable deathly touch.. the part where it blows me away.. "written in dust, tainted by memories" ohh what a feeling, how sad, how beautiful....

No Bass, Only Treble | Reviewer: Robert Edwards
------ About the song Still Day Beneath The Sun performed by Opeth

This song has little to no bass, Which what makes it so beautiful. Treble has a higher frequency and smaller wavelength. This song could seduce women because Treble has more energy.

There is something in this song.. | Reviewer: Nick
------ About the song The Funeral Portrait performed by Opeth

I wonder if I'm the only one that sees it.. There's... anger and frustration in this song... And it's perfectly harmonized in one simple part.
"My firm grip round the nucleus of joy
(short, calm guitar solo)
Enough of this"
That short break just contains so much emotion in blows me away every time. And this is one of the many reasons why I love Opeth.

Purest form of music | Reviewer: Ashish Pathak
------ About the song Deliverance performed by Opeth

I am just wondering that how come there are no reviews for this beautiful song. This song is nothing but a purest form of music. The transistion of Michael's growling to beautiful singing is simply amazing. No other person on this earth can do this transistion so beautifully. Opeth is simply the best when it comes to progressive metals and this song is no doubt the best of opeth. Long live opeth...long live metals.
