Review about Pantera songs
Really? | Reviewer: azsparky67
------ About the song Planet Caravan performed by Pantera

You all should try to enjoy the song just for the SAKE OF THE SONG.
It's a great tune, written by Mr. Iommi and Mr. Butler, originally
for and played by Black Sabbath, sung by Mr. Osbourne, expertly beat by
Mr. Bill Ward.

Pantera's cover is actually an outstanding cover, keeps the aura of
the orignial in tact. Nothing wrong with this cover or the original, if you're preference is either, you're NOT WRONG. Just try enjoying the
music, you'll be happier.

------ About the song Drag the Waters performed by Pantera

J Cohen, you are the most pretentious person I've ever seen spilling their shitty wrong opinion on the internet.
Maybe take a moment to read the words and listen before you vomit your mental garbage over a nice page. Kill yourself, please.

A song about loss and pain | Reviewer: TSotP
------ About the song Cemetery Gates performed by Pantera

BabyShaker, you couldn't be more wrong. The song is clearly about loosing someone he loved and then being so proud as to not let his feeling out and it eating away his life. At the end he realises that he should have grieved properly and let his life move on naturally.

I mean, i could give a breakdown of the song, line by line, but i don't think there is need.

An amazing song BTW

5minutes | Reviewer: Thomas
------ About the song Five Minutes Alone performed by Pantera

Actually - it was 5 minutes of death before revival after drug (heroin) abuse and, unfortunatly, overdose. I was in early nighteen a big fan and heard Philip Himself said that.... now, if HE was lying to media-that would suck BIGTIME

sick | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Throes Of Rejection performed by Pantera

just... plain and simple... sick song. For me it is about how rejection feeds your choices and self-image in life... it is in its basal form a song about fear and how it motivates!

Correct Opening Sentence | Reviewer: Tyler
------ About the song Domination performed by Pantera

The correct opening sentence is "First take like a motherfucker." This is one of Pantera's fastest, heaviest and most powerful songs and it's sooo obvious that Phil wanted the band to record this in one take. They were a well rehearsed band and you can tell this song was done in one take with very minimal editing or overdubbing, if any. Pantera was sooo good that they recorded a lot of stuff in one or two takes. Just listen to the music. You can tell the difference between a one or two take on a song and one that has been edited and overdubbed and fancied up to sound better.

The other side of "love" | Reviewer: headbanger
------ About the song This Love performed by Pantera

This song brings back every fight and bad breakup and reminds me of how "love" can turn into something disgusting, painful, and hateful.

This is the "love" that makes you so miserable you think the only way to feel better is by cutting out your own heart or cutting her head off.

rock n roll | Reviewer: Duane steven

In defense of Phil's fucking hostility | Reviewer: Andrew
------ About the song Fucking Hostile performed by Pantera

I like the response of "Classic insight..." He's trying to figure it out, which is admirable. But it has always seemed to me that Phil's message was more moderate than that (in surprising contrast to the complete and awesome lack of moderation in the song's speed, heaviness, and obscenity). He seems to recognize the importance of the authorities, eg priesthood being the 'ultimate test in life,' but he nonetheless maintains that authority derives not from bullying and overbearing but from a higher source. Mutual respect and reason are two such sources that he gives.
