Paul's earliest dream was to become a Pediatrician, but soon got turned onto writing songs and singing. He knew his music could touch people, when at his high school graduation he sang 'Amazing Grace' accappella and a few people wiped tears away. There was no looking back for this young man. He worked his way through the talent contests. He worked his way through Mount Royal College in Calgary and became a Pediatric Nurse. He then worked two years at the Alberta's Sick Children Hospital in Calgary, sometimes dealing with terminally ill children. This gave him the drive and the patience to deal with what was to come in the future. Yet, when a Nashville Record Company approached him about a record deal he had to think about it for a week.
