We are called Say Anything. We have existed since Coby started playing drums over the horrible songs I wrote about girls while attending high school in Los Angeles, California. Being the egomaniacal singer type, I proceeded to kick out and\or drive away pretty much anyone else who joined the band, so there were a ton of lineup changes, yet somehow Coby and I ended up selling a lot of our self released\recorded cd. Soon, all these strange children started to repeatedly attend our live shows and tell their friends More... I fell in love with all the songs, and as per usual, Max continues write like that of a genius. I know this song has caused a lot of controversy between mcr and say anything fans, but i don't get why. i mean, it's a great song, with or without gerard. and i personally think the reason they did this together was because say anything and mcr basically wanted to be in a band for the same reason: to fight back, to make something revolutionary, to buck the steriotype that was put on them. mission accomplished(: max bemis and gerard way are my two heroes. to be combined on one song is the best thing in the world for me. but anyway, i love this song to no extent. it makes me want to fight, this song gives me an immense amount of hope. The album is based on a rock opera, so just reviewing one song from it is a lot like reviewing a scene from a movie while ignoring the rest of the movie. This song is about the turning point when the critic realizes his own hypocrisy, and knows that if he can't be honest with himself, he really has no right to judge anyone else.
