Sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Givin' all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times, and he'll have good times
Doin' things that you don't understand
But if you love him, then you'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him, oh, be proud of him
'Cause after all he's just a man
Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And somethin' warm to come to
When nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep givin' all the love you can
Stand by your man
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep givin' all the love you can
Stand by your man

If Patsy did not sing it then who is that singing it that sounds just like her. I know it was written in 1968 by Tammy Wynette, but I heard the song and it sounds different then Tammy, it sounds like Patsy! Can you explain this? I always thought she sang it first then Wynette did, and made it more famous.
did patsy Cline write and sing this song before Tammy Wynette. I never heard Patsy sing it before, I always thought Tammy wrote the song for herself not Patsy.

Patsy Cline did not do "Stand By Your Man", it was co-written and sung by Tammy Wynette. This is one of the problems with the internet and websites like this. They let people post incorrect information and don't check it to make sure it is factual. Get it right or get off the net.
