We were together for 5 years, from age 14 all the way until last year. Every time I hear this song it makes me think about how badly it hurt to let go of someone, and how I swore that I wasn't ever going to fall in love again. I think about how going back to that place after our break up seemed like a slow but sure way of killing myself, and now I can remember it fondly.
