The Fall of Troy is everything you wish your band could be
- younger, faster, louder, and well... better looking.
These are the facts, but don't let it get you down. You're
a snowflake, unique in your own way.

The band was raised in Mukilteo, Washington, a small town
about 30 miles north of Seattle. There isn't much to do
there when you're too young for the bars and too old for
the playground. So you do what every other bored kid whose
dad just happened to be a session musician with Allman
Brothers and Eagles in the 70's - you start a band. The
Fall of Troy was originally called Thirty Years War, but
that didn't last long (get it?), and they decided to More...

------ About the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X performed by The Fall Of Troy

i love this song. I play guitar hero on expert better than anyone around here. 5 stars everytime any song any game. It doesnt make my musical knowledge any less relevant so i say shut the hell up about it really.

------ About the song Whacko Jacko Steals The Elephant Man's Bones performed by The Fall Of Troy

this is about Michael Jackson, cause Whacko Jackso was his nickname.
& he ssupposly "want to buy(orsteal) the elephant mans bones"
which was a total lie, but whatever.
    tis not a nice song.
    Mj is my idol.

------ About the song Semi-Fiction performed by The Fall Of Troy

About a year ago there was a girl me and a group of friends used to pick on and they bet me $50 to sleep with her. (nothing more than a game to me) I started hanging out with her a bit taking her on dates and ended up getting somewhat attached to her. After having sex with her I collected my money and my friends told her the terrible joke I played on her. Both our hearts were broken and I found out she was a carrier for AIDS and now I have them too.

i love this song. i first heard it on GH and i like instantly fell in love with it. ok so i dont play the real guitar but thats fine with me. i WANT to learn how to play it really bad... only because ive been playing GH as soon as it came out... and its fun so id like to learn how to play the real thing. people, calm down and look at urselves. ur arguing over a stupid game and all that crap. ive only read a few and its just... sad. please just take a chill pill and go rock out to some GH!
    INCREASE THE PEACE!!! haha

------ About the song Whacko Jacko Steals The Elephant Man's Bones performed by The Fall Of Troy

It's about an imaginary ordeal where Jacko, instead of bidding on the bones of Joseph Merrick, also known as the Elephant Man for his bodily disorder, he decided to steal the bones and then he got caught...it has absolutely nothing to do with the molestation trials

------ About the song Whacko Jacko Steals The Elephant Man's Bones performed by The Fall Of Troy

I'm very certain that this song is about the Michael Jackson molestation trial. Since whacko jacko is Michael's nickname, and elephant man is a song of his it makes sense. Also "time lost the evidence" is how michael was aquitted. Just a thought, powerful song

------ About the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X performed by The Fall Of Troy

GReat song, for those who are interested, its based of one of their earlier songs, F.C.P.S.I.T.S.G.E.P.G.E.G.E.P. (yes thats what its called), its slower than this version but makes it this one easier to play.
AS for the whole the guitar hero thing, it does in fact have the ability to improve your real guitar playing, more so if you've just begun to playing. It helps you spread your fingers, relate color to sound, its what Hendrix did, open you to different artists and more importantly keep rhythm. You see those lines across the highway (they alternate between white and a faded white?), those are your beats. The bright white one are your down beats, 1,2,3,4, and the faded ones are your upbeats, and, and, and, and. Just thought i throw that in their

i first heard of the fall of troy through guitar hero as well.
    this song.
but i got into other songs by them.
i love "act one, scene one"=)
anyway, apparently theres an argument about gh3 and the fall of troy, but i didn't read enough comments to know about and i honestly don't care..
    they're a good band.=)
by the way, you do have to have a talent for it lol.
i play real acoustic guitar pretty good but i CANNOT get past medium on my gh3.
    it's the battle w/ "lou"?

    Pointless arguement | Reviewer: Katie
------ About the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X performed by The Fall Of Troy

I'm gonna jump in on the bandwagon of the GH debate since everyone else is.

I actually only just heard of The Fall Of Troy about a year ago, if even that.
A friend of mine was playing them in the car and I liked the sound so I asked him who they were.
"The Fall Of Troy, they're pretty awesome." He replied.
"You've got GH3 right? Legends of Rock? One of their songs is on there, on the 'bonus' song lists. Play it." He added.
So I did. And I thought it was really good.
Even though I kinda sucked at that song. Hahaha.

    I have played real guitar since I was 10, I'm 19 now.
To me, trying to play GH was alot harder than playing a real guitar because I'm so used to the strings, frets, chords... Using an actual pick.
So the buttons and the little flicky thing... It threw me off for a while until I got the hang of it.

I am a self-proclaimed video game nerd. Unlike most chicks my age, I love to sit down in front of my TV and play until my fingers go numb. So naturally, I like GH.
As of late, I've actually been playing it alot more than I've been playing any of my guitars, so they're probably really out of tune by now.

The point is, it's just a game. What's wrong with getting up and rocking out to some awesome songs on your gaming system?
Also, as a bonus, you're getting a little exercise.
That is, if you're like me and you are jumping around, kicking and flailing like a mad person while you play. xD
You could probably even say that it improves your hand-eye coordination.
I know it improved mine. Hahahaha.

I also concur on the fact that GH has inspired many people to play real guitar.
I've had many friends that play GH, start taking up some lessons on guitar or ask me for a little help on some chords, how to read tabs, or how to play something.
If anything it gets people more into music.
It's a good idea in my honest opinion.

All the people bashing GH remind me of the MUSE fans bashing the readers of Twilight just because they started listening to MUSE after they heard Supermassive Black Hole on the Twilight movie.

It doesn't matter how or why they began to listen to the band.
The point is, they're listening to the band. They're supporting the band.
    Doesn't make 'em "posers."
If not for some of those people you call "posers," that band wouldn't be as popular as they were and they wouldn't get the amount of record sales they get.

So shut your traps and keep your close minded, brooding, teenage opinions to yourself.
Better yet, go play some Guitar Hero.
Let out some of that angst.
    Might help ya.

------ About artist/band The Fall Of Troy

The first time I heard The Fall of Troy, it was pounding out of a car's stereo speakers.
I was introduced to them, via a friend.
He was playing them in his car while we were driving around one day and at first, I didn't like them too much, but I got online that very night and downloaded a ton of their songs.
A few being Quarter Past, Semi-Fiction, The Dark Trail, Cut Down All The Trees And Name The Streets After Them, F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X etc., etc.

I think it's a little cliche to say I fell in love with them.
But they certainly grew on me very quickly with every song I listened to.

They're a really great band to blast in your car while taking a joy ride around town, or while you're just sitting in your room.
The riffs are nothing short of brilliant, though I'm not saying Thomas Erak is "omg teh best guitarist in the whole wide world lolz!"
But he does have some great talent, I'll give him that.

If you're looking for something new to listen to, something a little different than the typical cookie cutter band, this might be the band you're looking for.
Give 'em a listen and try to keep the lyrics and riffs from getting stuck in your head.
    I dare ya.

Seriously... the argument between you guys is sad... I am a lead vocalist in a metal band and I play 2nd guitar... But I enjoy a bit of Guitar hero. Not everyone can play guitar like Van Halen, Steve Via or Joe satriani. Let them have fun tapping buttons to the same tune the musically gifted Play.

------ About the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X performed by The Fall Of Troy

Okay, I haven't really read others' posts regarding Guitar Hero, but I've heard the debate long enough to guess what people are saying. I'm not gonna challenge people's views on the game, it's their opinion, and I have no right to criticize them for it.

Guitar Hero is a video game. Yes, one that mimics a real guitar, but a game nonetheless. Comparing that to a real guitar is just stupid. People whine and bitch and moan about how people think its an accomplishment to play a song on it, when they could be playing it on a real guitar. Those kind of people need to shut the hell up. If you were gonna complain about something being done in a video game that they could've been done in real life, then they should stop playing video games, because its all a simulation. They have no right to tell other people to stop playing Guitar Hero, or to learn how to play guitar if they play Guitar Hero. It's not their life, and they shouldn't be telling others how to live theirs.

As for my view of Guitar Hero, yeah, I used to play it a lot back when it came out. I used to love the game. I can understand why people would get into it so easily. It's fun, it gives you and your friends something to do, and it's pretty simple. I have been a musician for 11 years before starting Guitar Hero, and the game actually got me and a friend to take up guitar, and we both agree that guitar hero has almost nothing to do with playing the guitar, and that it is stupid to compare the two.

The game itself, isn't all that hard. In all actuality, there are better rhythm games out there. There have been for years. Konami developed better rhythm games, but never became popular in the U.S. because the learning curve was too much for most Americans. The reason Guitar Hero became popular so easily was because it was easy, and had a strong commercial backing. Once you actually get into a good rhythm game, like IIDX, Pop'n, or DJMax, all of which I highly recommend you try, your view on the entire rhythm game franchise will change.

okay u guys... Thomas Erak is good, but not THAT good... I mean, i LOVE the fall of troy, don't get me wrong, but just listen to a jazz guitarist for christ-sakes... they're able to improvise licks just as complex and intricate as Erak's hardest stuff from the top of their heads... stop acting like you know what you're talking about

------ About the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X performed by The Fall Of Troy

Guys, you all need to calm down.
This is my opinion. It's a game, have fun & enjoy it while you can. Don't waste your time arguing about it, it's mad pointless. Yeah, you all probably think I sound like a fuckin' queer, but come on, is there really a sense in fighting over a game? People play, they get better, they find bands they start to like. Let them do that, it's for entertainment. Keep your comments to yourself about the people who claim they've known a band in Guitar Hero forever, 'cause you know they haven't. Just know that they're pathetic for posing something like that, & let them look like complete & total idiots by themselves. Kthanksbye(:

------ About the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X performed by The Fall Of Troy

Okay. So for the people that are flaming guitar hero. The only people who diss on guitar hero is:
    1. they've never played it
    2. they cant pass hit me with your best shot on easy.

Guitar hero has influenced many people to play REAL guitar. Guitar hero is so much harder than playing real guitar (some songs). Yes I do play guitar. I've been playing for 8 years. and yet I suck at guitar hero but I love it. How come you idiots don't diss on other games you play? Thats like me saying "why don't you get a REAL gun insted playing call of duty" stupid hypocrites.

------ About the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X performed by The Fall Of Troy

it's a game...it's meant for entertainment...quit whining because that games is helping those bands go farther and helping kids who listen to shitty music find good music...

and just because they don't play guitar doesn't mean anything...like I said, it's for entertainment...if that's what they like to do..then so be it...we can play our guitars, they can play their pieces of plastic...
