A noteworthy song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/4/09
I love this song! I noticed many reviewers mentioned the movie "The Mists of Avalon" but I wonder if you have read the book..? The book is simply amazing! I guarantee that if you love this song you will truly love the book The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley.
I Love this Song. | Reviewer: Monique | 3/22/09
I first heard this song in Mists of Avalon and on website as well. I thought this song was so wonderful with instruments and lyrics make this song on my all time favorites. I love this kinda of music..:)
Absolutely, this is a true work of enlightened enchantment. A wonderful mix of instruments, lyrics and Loreena's voice makes this song a beacon for women seeking the true goddess. I am so there in the mists of Avalon when I hear this song.......
This is such a work of art. It just fills your heart with magic.. I myself am a follower of the godess.. although i get laughed at.. This is actually one of my favorite songs. I usually listen to it when im out and about, walking the dog or such.. it justs makes your days so magical.. Btw, Reviewer shletz, The song that plays in the scen of Avalon, youre talking about is the mystic dream. Also by loreena. and also a brilliant song. Well wish you all the best <3
A Most Beautiful Song... | Reviewer: Andrea | 9/16/08
Gorgeous song! It reminds me of the Devine femimine...
A group of woman dancing in a circle, around other woman dancing the opposite direction during the summer soltice with the Oak God in the center --- representing the dying god who rises again surrounded by the Love of the Goddess. (It's sort of a christ-like "god".
It always makes me weep at the line ::
"A garland gay we bring you here
And at your door we stand
It is a sprout well budded out
The work of Our Lord's hand"
... I think of the loneliness of the Goddess, and I cry.
Magic | Reviewer: Jade | 7/29/08
I always think of something when I listen to music, weather its a memory or something for one of my books and this song simply makes me think "Magic" (Yes, this is a good thing). It's tune alone is great for when I'm trying to write out a tricky magic scene, but when I focus on the Lyrics then the true magical nature of it comes out. It helps me to build depth to my characters and inspires me to continue writing. I'm going to have to start looking up more of Loreena's songs, I found this one on acsident and I'm glad I did. Now I have to search up more of her music.
one of the best | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/15/06
i'm not a huge fan but this song is one of the most sublime pieces of music i've been privlidged to hear in recent memeory. compelling, entrancing and unique. i've sought out new and interesting music for much of my fifty years and just when i think i may have no surprises ahead of me something like this comes along. proves there is still a goddess!
This song has to be one of my most fav songs of Loreena's and i'd rate her type of songs to be right up there with the best of Enya. This song is pure enchantment, it reminds me of one fav scene in the movie 'Mists of Avalon' when the young girl learns in the service of the goddess. Purely an awsome mix of instruments and along with that bautiful voice of hers, it's just magical.
