If you asked the six members of this band how The Number
Twelve got started, you would get six different stories.
However, a few things remain consistent. One thing that is
a known fact is that The Number Twelve Looks Like You is a
real band, and the members of this band live in New Jersey.
They might have formed sometime around 2001, but some
skeptics might lead you to believe differently.
The Number Twelve is made up of an eclectic collection of
musicians that all add a certain "flavor" when making up
the compositions of a sound that cannot be pigeonholed into
one genre. Since the formation of the band they have
recorded songs, traveled the country in a beat up van
playing these songs, and made a ton of merch for
the More...

------ About the song Like a Cat performed by The Number Twelve Looks Like You
Beautifully done song.
Guitars, bass, and drums surpass their intended measure of sound with these guys. The vocalists add that powerful surge to the ever changing riffs and tempo.
To describe in a single sentance for lack of talented words on my part:
One of the most jaw-dropping bands ever to grace our century.

------ About the song Document. Grace Budd performed by The Number Twelve Looks Like You
I like TNTLLY. If you ask me though, these lyrics are sickening. It wouldn't be half as bad if it wasn't told from the killer's perspective. If it was told from someone, say, looking through a window and witnessing it, it'd be different. Instead, it was shown through the killer's eyes.

I just saw them live on the 20th and they were amazing. I've been listening to them for a long time now and I'm never dissapointed. There were 6 guys in the band and now there is only 4. the guys are all awesome. Super down the earth. Me, my Boyfriend and my est friend went out to Denny's and chilled out with them. We even paid homage to the holiday with the guitarist Alex. I honestly couldnt have asked for a better expierence. They really made April 20th and my 3 year anniversary one of the best days of my life.
Are we ALL animals? | Reviewer: Jerry
------ About the song Document. Grace Budd performed by The Number Twelve Looks Like You
In the animal kingdom, this behavior is NOT abnormal. It is survival of the fittest. However, the question, are we not human and what does that mean?
Obviously there is no such thing as conscience. Fish acted based on some instinct. The muscians that glorify this poor child's horrific death have some rationalization to create a song that makes money for them. Once again, survival of the fittest. There is no redemption in profit off of someone's suffering.
However, religion is BIG business based on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

hey everyone is right its not glorifying albert fish. it is a song, to be correct. and why are you ranting on about grace and the budd family, what about the others he killed. people like "you" make me sick... who claim to feel bad about murder victims ect you are just exploiting it... so shut up and let musicians do as they please. even if it is qouting famous serial killers
and yes they are famous... these sick people are more important then yourself

whats he scream at the end? | Reviewer: gulliver
------ About the song Empty Calm performed by The Number Twelve Looks Like You
This is an amazing instrumental! It's such a change from what they normally do. Anyway, I was wondering if he's actually screaming words at the end of the song or if it's just screaming?

the hell are you talking about, anonymous? that was in 1928, her brother would be going on 100 years old. and do you not understand the significance? its not saying he was a great man, its MEANT to shock you. philistines like you that don't understand art are the reason for the overflowing seas of bullshit controversy over great artistic expressions like schindler's list. do you think things like this should just be forgotten? they are brought up to be remembered and not to be repeated. its not glorifying it in ANY way.
the number twelve looks like you is the most amazing band ive ever heard. they're music is not only amazing but beautiful and inspiring. I was introduced to them when i was in the 8th grade. ever since ive been hooked. they do more then make music or write songs. they creat stories. empty calm for example, the song doesnt even need words to tell of love, lost, death and regret. a picture is worth a thousand words, but with them, a word is worth a thousand pictures. they taught me how to pick my battles and fucking fightlike theres not tomorrow. i owe them everything. i just saw them november 28th. i got to meet jase and have him sign my shirt.
i will never forget that day. that day made my life. i will always love them and be thankful of what they did for me.

------ About the song Document. Grace Budd performed by The Number Twelve Looks Like You
Don't you realize that this girl still has family that live today? The pain that these people went through didn’t die with her parents it lived on with her brothers and her sister, and continued down from generation to generation.
Grace’s brother Edward blamed himself for her death. He felt that he didn’t put the ad in the newspaper this would never have happened. Can you imagine how hard that was for an 18 year old boy?
This isn’t a joke or a movie or a song. It was a terrible tragedy that happened to a loving family. Albert Fish was a very sick minded man and people like you are sicker than him.

one of the most amazing songs in history
forget genres and listen to how it opens up with torturous screams and thrashing drums that make your cheeks squint
to the break where the first few screams bellow beauty and anguish all at once
"im so tired, of staring into mirrors to see the reflection cry"
the lyrics are just amazing, and listening to this song is like walking through a tunnel
theres a battle through the middle
BUT
my favourite part of this song
is actually the little tune right at the end
it all seems so calm again when it gets to that part (:

------ About the song Document. Grace Budd performed by The Number Twelve Looks Like You
was an amazing ep even if many dont think so
its actually a concept album based on the serial killer and cannibal albert fish
this song is an audio clip of his actual words that he wrote in a journey explaining how he murdered and ate young grace budd
she was among many
i have no idea why they have done an album on such a horrific subject but then THIS BAND IS FAR FROM NORMAL
thats exactly why i love them
the lyrics never seem to make much sense but its spur of the moment thinking i suppose
describing something beautiful you dont understand
This is such a fucking good song, the guitar and drum work is amazing, do i even need to speak about the vocals. The Number Twelve Fo Life

It's such a powerful song, really... Makes you think alot. And the f***ing scream at 01:39 is full of emotions, like all love and hate concentrated in it... And it really makes me want to scream with them :(

------ About the song Civeta Dei. performed by The Number Twelve Looks Like You
ive been listening to #12 for a while, but i just figured they were another grindcore/noisecore experimental band. and then i listened to this song in its entirerity and was blown away. after that i read all the lyrics. and was pushed further into the amazingness of this song. it has anything that you could ask for really. and the final 1:20 of it, make me think that their two singers walked into that recording booth two people and came out different people. anyone who agrees can add me on myspace.
