THE VELVET TEEN have lived a charmed life. From Santa Rosa
California, this a youthful art-pop indie trio that has
been making their mark on the West Coast indie scene for
the past two years. Despite the band's short existence they
have already have a dozen tours under their belt, a devoted
following, a four song 7" picture disc, a nine song CD-EP
and their debut full-length album "Out of the Fierce
Parade."
Released in March 2002, "Out of the Fierce Parade" was
recorded at The Hall of Justice recording studio (where
bands such as Nirvana and Sleater Kinney have recorded) in
Seattle. Death Cab for Cutie's Chris Walla produced the
recordings, assisting the band achieve their goal of a
full-length record that is true to their artistic sound.
