the convergence of music and technology. His experiments
with an assortment of keyboards, synthesizers and cassette
players led his friends to dub him "Dolby". That same
fascination later drove him to become an electronic
musician and multimedia artist whose groundbreaking work

------ About the song She Blinded Me With Science performed by Thomas Dolby
This song endures. And now I know all of the lyrics!
Was buying a bicycle for my 7 year old Daughter the first time I recall hearing this Classic in April of 1983. My, how swiftly time flies.
Thank You Thomas.

------ About the song Airhead performed by Thomas Dolby
20061006 I am sorry that I contributed to making this airhead what she is. Never-the-less, this brilliant song would not have been done if we had not made her that way.
Glad Mr. Dolby is back. Saw his set at Berklee in Boston last Thursday. Still has the chops and still at the front of electonic.
Early eighties classic! | Reviewer: Dean
------ About the album The Golden Age Of Wireless performed by Thomas Dolby
Thomas Dolby's debut was a true synth pop classic! Every song on this album is solid. Go beyond "She blinded me with science" and you'll find gems like "Flying north" and "One of our submarines", his take on the Cold War. My personal favorite, though, is "Airwaves". It's much more subdued than "Science" and most of the other tracks, and it features a haunting, lonely sounding melodic theme. His synth work throughout the album is stunning, but he tempers it with humor in his lyrics ("her eyes so red and her lips so blue"-from "Radio silence"). When he recorded this album, he knew he had great songs but didn't take them too seriously. You can tell he had a blast making this music. The results are a lot of fun to hear. I just listened to my vinyl copy earlier today. For me, listening to this album is like visiting an old friend who you haven't seen in twenty years. One of the best from that era.
