LOOK IT UP. instead of making ur own damn assumptions about the band with ur own believes, look them up and find out yourself instead of having an argument with nothing to back it up. the members of the band ARE christian, but the band as a whole ISNT a christian band. But in my view of the song I believe that he is talking about a struggle in his life that basically broke his heart, like when he is talking about his hollowed out chest. But the part that could go both ways it if he is talking to himself, some other person, or god. I don't really know which one but all those could make sense. Either way it's one of my favorite songs. Faith aside I enjoy the song and AILD. I personally like Metal for the Guitar more then the lyrics, but I do like the lyrics to all of songs. Jesus H. Some may take the words, "Only through struggle" as a direct relation to the bible, as God's word says He will test us. Some may see it as a relationship to personal life lessons. This band makes their lyrics acceptable to all breeds and creeds, and religions (or lack thereof).
