TIERRA SANTA was formed in 1997 in their hometown region of
La Rioja in Spain. Described as a mix between IRON MAIDEN
and HAMMERFALL, this Spanish Power Metal band is immensely
popular in Spain, consistently hitting the top 10 charts.
They released their first album, 'Medieval', in 1998, which
instantly became popular throughout Spain, and led them to
the finals of the Navarra/Rioja Imagina-Rock contest.
The band launched their promotional tour playing with
AVALANCH and opening for DIO during his tour in Spain. By
the end of the year, TIERRA SANTA signed with Locomotive
Music and in April 1999, Locomotive Music released
'Legendario'.
TIERRA SANTA launched their second promotional tour
throughout Spain giving dynamically tight live
performances.
