UB40 Lyrics

More than any other artists of their time, Britain's UB40
have proven the power of pop-influenced reggae music. With
worldwide sales topping 30 million albums during their
career, the UB40 story demonstrates just how far people can
go by staying true to their roots. UB40 grew up in the
heart of Birmingham, one of England's most ethnically
diverse cities. The summer of 1978 saw the eight band
members drawn together by their love of the skanking
Jamaican reggae vibes.

------ About the song Tyler performed by UB40

This song still gives me chills, I will never, ever, forget the first time I got the album home and spun this track for the first time, mind blowing stuff.
Say what you will about UB40, like almost every other band that went massive on a world wide scale, they were not slow to reap the rewards of their good fortune, but tunes like this remind you just how far out in front of the rest they really were at the time. But don't be kidded into thinking that Labour of Love was them finished, there is way too much talent in the band, they have released a lot more good stuff over the following 30 odd years...not too many bands can come close to that, may not be the hip answer but it certainly the truth.

Hi, I was not a big fan of UB 40 when growing up, although I like Red red wine but when I heard "Bring me your cup" I liked
the beat and went out to by the CD. Now my wife complains that UB 40 is not the only group band. GREAT SONG

------ About the song Red Red Wine performed by UB40

I am an avid music fan. I relate every memory in my journey through life to a song that was playing during that time. Red Red Wine was redone by UB40 and is awesome, but when you hear it by Bob Marley it has a complete reminiscing if the song. LOVE IT...BY BOTH ARTIST. AWESOME SONG

------ About the song Sing Our Own Song performed by UB40

What a beautiful song but what do we sing now after the leaders who we elected behave in a worse manner than the past regime?

line missing | Reviewer: dardo
------ About the song Bring Me Your Cup performed by UB40

hey and thanks for the lyric...
can you put the missing line in the last verse in the middle of:
"Me want to please you baby
-> don't try to tease me baby
Ride up on top my darling, please don’t stop my darling"
That's all, i really thank you this post

My personal classic | Reviewer: Jacob
------ About the song Tyler performed by UB40

Tyler and Food For Thought are, in my opinion, the strongest and best UB40 songs. I fully subscribe to the concept that the era of cover songs (albeit decent) ruined the band's potential.

Used to like it....but | Reviewer: Paul
------ About the song Higher Ground performed by UB40

Used to love this song until our headmaster one day said what a great song it was and how it was all about learning (The chorus) Then he played it to all us all. How corny it was, I mean after that none of us liked the song cos it reminded us of the head. And who wants to like the same music as your stuffy old headmaster?

------ About the song (I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You performed by UB40

A Lot Of People who were around in the 1990's like i am don't know that elvis did the original in the 1960's. elvis Presley's Version Was A Ballad and he had the voice to do a great job but ub40's version is different it took a elvis presley ballad to a 1990's reggae song good job elvis and ub40? If Elvis was around when ub40 did it what would he think of it?
