Under Pressure Lyrics - David Bowie
Review The Song (5)
Umm boom bah day
umm boom bah bay
umm bah boom bah bay day
Pressure, pushing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man asks for
Under Pressure
That burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
Umm bah bah bay
Umm bah bah bay
Ea day da
Ea day da
That's okay!
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming let me out
Pray tomorrow takes me higher
Pressure on people
People on streets
Day day day
Umm... Buh da bah bah bah
O-kay!
Chippin' around
Kick my brains 'round the floor
These are the days
It never rains but it pours
Ea doe bay dup
Ea da doe bah bup
Ea doe bup
Bay lup
People on streets
Ea da dea da day
People on streets
Ea da dea da dea da dea da...
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming let me out
Pray tomorrow takes me higher-higher-high...
Pressure on people
People on streets
Turned away from it all
Like a blind man
Sat on the fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love
But it's so slashed and torn
(Why, why, whhhhhyyyy??)
Love love love love
Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance?
Why can't we give love that one more chance?
Why can't we give love give love give love?
Give love give love give love give love give love
Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care
For the people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way
Of caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is ourselves under pressure
Under pressure
Pressure
umm boom bah bay
umm bah boom bah bay day
Pressure, pushing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man asks for
Under Pressure
That burns a building down
Splits a family in two

Great Live Version of Under Pressure | Reviewer: Rob in MA | 6/16/2007
In the Boston area, there is an amazing local band called the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra that exclusively performs this kind of music -- Queen, Bowie, The Who, the big pieces by the Beatles, music from Jesus Christ Superstar -- all those powerful rock opera pieces of the 70s. Check out www.ultrasonicproductions.com for their website, which includes a link to a local TV appearance playing Under Pressure. It's better seen live (with the crowd fired up and stage lighting) but still gives you an idea of the band.
If you're ever in the area, check them out!

i really love this song!
i 1st heard it awhile ago as a duet between two popular rock bands (my chemical romance and the used)
i immediatly fell in love with this song
the lyrics are perfect for the world we live in and people should listen to the message of this song
i heard this version (bowie and mercury) on the recent film 'cheaper by the dozen 2' with my sister
ive got to say that both this original version and the remake of the song are very similar but with individual twists on it
the my chemical romance and the used version of this song is a classic also like the original
im sure freddie would be proud!!!

AWESOMENES! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/15/2004
This is such a great song. I love the voice combination with two of the most distinctive and unique voices in the music industry. The lyrics are amazing and I love anything that David Bowie or Queen does!
