------ About the song In This River performed by Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society

Every Review I have read about this amazing song is heartbreaking to hear how many people relate to this song. My pastor's wife's brother died a week ago in afghanistan he was a soldier a father a brother a husband and a true son of God. I was mad at the devils taking of his death also the taking of Dimebag and Cliff Burton i chose to play this song for there family and this song touched my heart my pastor was not mad at the devil for his evil ways but glad to know that God took him to a better place this song always breaks my heart to hear becuase of the emotion that Zakk put into it wich is rare to hear from a icon of metal. James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Jerry Belladona, and Phil Anselmo couldn't even lay a finger in the emotion Zakk puts in this song studio and live. The solo in this song is rolling emotions of happiness, sadness, anger, and gladness to know such a man as Dimebag. The song was dedicated to Dimebag after his death on 12/08/04. Zakk wrote the song exactly 9 months to the day of the death he looked over the lyrics and realized it was Dimes song. Zakk then put the song in his 2005 alublm mafia as the fifth track. The music video symbols life and how it all is unfair it starts with Zakk and Dime riding bikes and it ends with Zakk emerging from a river alone symbolizing Dimes death the song is basiclly describing the bullshit you receive in life from growing up to your best friend dying. The week before the day that Dime was shot Dime asked Zakk to come out to show Zakk the Razorback in the conversation Dime asked Zakk to,"come out here and see this fuckin thing." Zakk quotes this at his show in Oklahoma City when they are playing. If you listen closly to the solo you will here him say,"why why you why you first you were my brother why couldn't we go together instead why do i have to endure life without you my brother,"as quoted by Zakk and the lyrics of the song include the words 'fade to black' basically when Zakk wrote this song Fade to Black by Metallica was his biggest inspiration at the time and both songs have the same meaning.

------ About the song We Live No More performed by Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society

Zakk seems to know simmering hatred, because his music is brutal and his lyrics cut. No one comes close to Zakk Wylde and BLS for agression and passion. Soundtrack to the warrior lifesyle.

------ About the song Sold My Soul performed by Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society

Nobody notices? he sold his soul to the devil and signed his name in blood... the song says it.. to get what he wants in return. In the end that bargaining shit bites everyone in the ass i wish everyone could understand that!

------ About the song In This River performed by Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society

You guys have truly touched me. This song has all the same meaning to me, as to you. My best friend died in a tragic trench collapsing on him. He use to sing this song to me, hoping one day he could be famous, like you guys! He told me that he would want this song played at his funeral. Unfortunately, Im the only one who knew his true wises. He did not get a burial. I am in the military and was unable to tell his family. This song makes me hurt, but feel good at the same time. I know that he is proud of me, like the brother i should have had. He was my best friend of 9 years. I will always remember him. And because of this song, I will always have him near, I know it! Thank you ZAK & BLS.
Whenever you go to the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA I will be front row as we always were, just for him!
love you guys!!!!

------ About the song Between Heaven and Hell performed by Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society

Dont know about you guys, but this song just totally reflects me at this time.
For me, it talks about letting yourself "spread" too much on too many people , without even noticing it, but in the end you'll have to say goodbye to all of them . cause you can love only one.Pretty sad, isn't it? that's me right now. Good luck to you all and i just have to admit, you have a great taste in music ;)
